How to Remove Masala Stains
It’s no surprise how much Indians love masala. Masalas are renowned for being packed full of flavour, often with ingredients such as chilly powder, turmeric, tomato and oil – however, sadly, it’s these vibrant spices that can leave a lasting stain on your favourite clothes. But, don’t despair! With Vanish, masala stains can be a long-forgotten issue, as the powerful multi-benefit formula can tackle tough stains, brighten colours and remove odours – even in a cold wash (30°C)!

For the best results, we recommend a three-step process to remove your masala-stained items: pre-treat or soak and wash as usual. For coloured clothes and for your whites, use Vanish Oxi Action Powder. You’ll get unparalleled deep hygiene action*, which gives your washing a deep clean in-wash.

How to remove masala stains from cotton

People are often wary of stain removal on cotton as it can be a delicate fabric, but rest assured you can treat it with Vanish just as you would another item of clothing. Just follow the instructions above.

Tips

Scrape away – If it’s a fresh stain, scrape as much masala residue as possible off your garment before you start to treat it.
Check before you dry – Always check the stain has vanished before you put it in the dryer. This avoids setting the stain, which decreases your chances of fully removing that brightly coloured stain!
